2nd Hackathon Edition AEMOTECH: Education, Urban Mobility and Tourism

The city of Porto became, on 28 and 29 March, the epicenter of technological innovation facing the future of Mozambique. A 2nd edition of Hackathon AEMOTech brought together more than 130 young talents, mentors and experts in a creative marathon that aimed to meet critical challenges in three vital areas: Education, Urban Mobility and Tourism.

Organized by AEMOPort (Mozambican Student Association in Porto) in strategic partnership with TechSolutions Lda., the event asserted itself as a platform of excellence for the training of Mozambican youth in diaspora. During 48 intense hours, participants were challenged to develop solutions that were not only theoretically innovative, but that presented immediate practical application potential in the Mozambican context.

The journey, described by the organization as a period of intense dedication and exchange of knowledge, served as a stage for several teams to demonstrate their ability to transform abstract concepts into practical and impactful tools. The feeling of realization marks the outcome of this edition, which reaffirmed the role of technology as a motor for social and economic change.

The highlight of the event was the consecration of the winning teams. With projects that stood out for strategic vision and technical feasibility, the first three classified were awarded for their competence in responding to the challenges they launched. "The effort and ability to materialise ideas demonstrated by these young people are truly inspiring," the organisation stressed, reinforcing that the impact of these projects should echo beyond the event period.
