Techsolutions and AMECC Organize Hackathon Young Leaders Lab 2025

Technology and youth came together in Cape Town to rethink the future of health in Africa. On 30 and 31 August, the Young Leaders Lab 2025 was held, an initiative co-organized by TechSolutions and the Mozambican Student Association in Cape Town (AMECC), which brought together young African talents around innovation and social impact.

For two days, the participants integrated an intense programme, marked by mentoring sessions, specialized technical monitoring and sharing experiences in a collaborative environment. The highlight was the AMECCTECH Hackathon, a competition that distinguished three teams for the potential transformer of their projects:

Peregrine Eyrie, winners of the first prize of R20,000;

Tech Ladies, distinguished with R10,000;

The Compilers, awarded R5,000.

TechSolutions' presence at this event reinforces the company's commitment to promoting technological innovation as a human development engine. More than supporting a competition, the company assumed the role of catalyst, stimulating ideas capable of responding to some of the largest structural challenges on the continent.

The success of Young Leaders Lab 2025 surpasses the awards delivered. The true legacy lies in the seed launched: the confidence that African youth has the creativity, determination and vision needed to build technological solutions that bring the future closer to a more inclusive and sustainable health system
